The State-Subsidized Car Nobody Wants

Of course, GM does understand at least one economic concept: rent-seeking.

Yep. Pity of it all is this: There are people at GM who know their business, and some of ‘em haven’t done badly in a market (such as it is). Look at Cadillac’s three-decade effort to successfully bring something other than a land yacht to market, starting with the execrable Cimarron (aka the Cadillac Cavalier) to the Allante to the Catera to, finally, the CTS series. By the accounts I’ve seen, the latter are pretty good cars.

I’m curious to know the cost of charging the car at home?
Without a network of charging stations it limits the ability to travel.
Do we have to subsidize the network next?
What about those three day weekend getaways, or Family reunions?

Its limits seem more like a horse.
